A Reuse Project Of a Different Kind

Local manufacturer’s atg UV Technology, located in Pemberton, regularly supply water reuse packages for wastewater all over the world.  However this month atg UV Technology, working with local Wigan based Charity ‘The Storehouse Project’ have experienced a reuse project of a different kind.

The Storehouse Project, located in Billinge, provides a vital community service for some of the most vulnerable members of the Wigan community.  Operating entirely on the kind donations of the local community, The Storehouse Project provides essential help to those who need it most in the form of food parcels, clothing, children’s toys, furniture and household essentials.

As a proud member of the local community, atg UV Technology became aware of The Storehouse Projects great work, and offered its help and support.  Until recently, the logistical power behind the collecting and delivering of donations depended on a tired and unreliable van, used to deliver help and support across the entire Wigan area.

Using the services of Eye Commercials, atg UV Technology were able to provide the dedicated team of Storehouse Project volunteers with a larger, more reliable and cheaper to run van.  The van and its enthusiastic volunteers can already been seen throughout Wigan making daily rounds supporting over 45 local health and welfare agencies, who rely upon The Storehouse Projects efforts in order to restore the lives of anyone in need within the local Wigan community.

Managing Director of atg UV Technology, yesterday said:

‘We recently paid a visit to The Storehouse Project and it opened our eyes to the poverty on our own doorstep. It became apparent that the current major requirement was a reliable van to transport goods to those in need.  We are glad to be able to support such a worthy local cause, and will continue to do so in any way possible.’

Nolan Bradshaw, founder of The Storehouse Project, yesterday said:

‘We want to do a lot more, we want to be more professional, but not so that we lose heart for the individuals in need – we care for each and every one of them.’
